Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

My CEL came on in my 987.1CS. Car feels/sounds/performs fine. I got hold of a OBDII scanner and got: p1175, cleared it. Drove for a bit and the CEL didn't come back on...yet. What does this mean?

POST 2Original post

Been reading on this a little. Some say MAF issue, some say loose or bad coil, some had problems with a variable valve sensor. Coils are easy to get to. MAF on other vehicles had been a sensitive little poop. No experience with the valve sensors. Have you had filters changed lately? Different gas? Different climate conditions? Mileage? Loan you car to a friend??

POST 3Original post

Thanks. No gas or filters changed. But did get very cold around here recently. 91,000.00 miles on the car but only 40,000.00 miles on the engine (new engine put in under Porsche CPO in 2013).
