My current workaround it to use the key in the door to close the window once I've gotten out, but that's not a long term solution.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 Boxster S I had the common issue with the window not dropping quite enough when the handle is lifted, so opened up the door and added a zip tie under the window regulator cable to take out some of the slack. So far, so good... I then reset the regulator limits top and bottom to restore one-touch open and close. However - once the limits are reset, when I close the window, it immediately reverses to about half open once it reaches the top limit. And that also erases the limits, so they need to be reset again. My current workaround it to use the key in the door to close the window once I've gotten out, but that's not a long term solution. Has anyone got any ideas as to what I did wrong, or what I can try to correct this? Thanks!
