right so i fixed this last night, there are two different options, one of which seems to only let you turn it off and on in settings with the car off, it was just a case of switching the Park Assist to Auto (rather than manual) then in the Car option setting the tick box to ticked.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.
PistonHeads: 1 discussions
0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

It's possible to disable park assist via a switch just behind the rear view mirror. Is it set to off?

It was on, i have tried toggling this off and on and it still beeps at both ends of the car, does it make any difference its a manual?

Mine's PDK but I can't see why they would operate differently. On mine with the switch on (light out) then I get both beeps and display, with the switch off (light on) I get neither beeps nor display - which seems reasonable. Sounds like you have a fault.

It now works perfectly, no idea why the previous person went to so much effort to turn it off. Also found a Cayenne vid on how to change the time and connect my phone
Didn't realise until I got my car that you only get the visual indicator if you have the front sensors as well; doesn't seem to be present on my car with CDR+ and Rear only sensors.

Surprised the dealer didn't take you through connecting your phone.
