Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

please compare: 1) dry grip 2) wet grip 3) road noise 4) # of miles before worn out we have very limited choices with the c4s--i love the dry grip with the c4s but they are very noisy and have only average grip in the rain. i am tempted to try contis. is this a mistake? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

POST 2Original post

At 17k the p-zeroes on my 99 had become extremely noisy and horrible at wanting to follow ruts. The Michelins I replaced them with were much quieter, even after 8k miles, and had NO tendency to wonder. My 01 came with conti's which seemed fine until storage (mostly) over the winter and then this spring were really noisy, I mean REALLY noisy. Back to Michelin we go, I guess. Try not to drive in the wet.

POST 3Original post

My local Michelin distributor is telling me that production will resume on the 295/30ZR18 in January or February of 2003. I'm really looking forward to replacing my Pirellis with Michelin Pilot Sports. I honestly never want to have to look at another Pirelli again. S.

POST 4Original post

Dang, if I knew Michelin Pilots were available for our cars, I wouldn't have got P-zeros. Do those 295/30/18's fit without rubbing on a stock suspension? The road noise on the P-zeros is the main problem for me...dry/wet grip seems fine and handling was more responsive than the factory Conti's.

POST 5Original post

I had one set of Conti's a long time ago. I don't know which model. The wore well but were awful handling: no stick on dry and in the rain I felt like Gene Kelly.

POST 6Original post

I have the PZEROs on my '00 C2 Cab with 15k miles and the rear tires are almost bald, but the front tires have a lot of tread left. The road noise is unbearable now and the grip in dry conditions is poor. Forget about wet conditions. I asked a tire dealer about the Rosso's and he said that they are a better tread. Can anyone tell me if I can switch to a different tread (Rosso or another brand) on the rears and keep the PZERO on the front?
