Hi all, as a newbie could anyone help me ive just purchased my 1st 996 c4s (love it to bits) but the pcm illumination is very poor ive adjusted the contrast but it doesnt help, is this a common problem and is there anything that can be done?

Do you know if you have PCM 1.0 or 2.0? (all 2.0 versions came in 2003 and after). Try locating the fuse that connects to the PCM, take it out, clean the connectors and re-insert. Also remember that any external lights which are switched on bar the indicators will also dim the display. ~ Maxie

my car is a 2002 all other lights work fine and illumination is white when lights off and yellow when lights on its just that when the sun is shining you cant see the display and when the sun is not shining its very dim(only the screen part)
