OK new owners what are you doing or planning to do about the mulitude of warnings on the sun visors (both sides) about air bags. In my test drive yesterday that was the most annoying feature of the interior and they do not appear that they can be removed. I've thought about taking the visiors to my saddle shop and re-covering them in leather. Any ideas?
You can use something like Goof Off or nail polish remover to remove those stickers, it will soften up the vinyl as well leaving a few wrinkles/sags but those go away within a week or two.
I didn't think that these looked like stickers but more imbedded in the visior. I could not feel any edges on them. I am glad they are stickers because they are coming off.

They are like a painted sticker, very thin with no edge, but they will come off with Goof-Off as I've done it before ona Boxster.
Because of where the visors are I really haven't noticed these SRS warning labels. I am sure they are there, but I will have to make a point to look for them. The visors are pretty high up and out of the way. As has been mentioned, these visors may not always be adequate for shading the sun because they are pretty small.
In NM sun visors are a necessary evil. Early morning and late even sun wipes out even the best sunglasses so I will see these ugly things a lot. They are small like everything else about this beast.
I dug up several posts on this on my files from the M Coupe forum 3 years ago, a condensation follows.
Visor Decal Removal
1. Remove visor
2. Use artists paint brush to soak decal with denatured alcohol and keep it wet for 2-3 minutes. Decal will wrinkle
3. Grab corner of decal and, keeping it wet, slowly pull it off.
4. Use same brush to soak remaining adhesive w/M-1 Spot Remover (Xylene and Methylene Chloride)
5. Where decal used to be: rub hard with rag soaked in M-1.
6. Let dry, then wash with cool water.
7. Do not worry when vinyl wrinkles.
8. Reinstall and let sit for 4 hours in cool garage, wrinkles will disappear.
A variation uses GOOF OFF by Guardsman (not Goo Off or any other generic) in place of alcohol to lift the label and generic lacquer thinner on a rag to remove the remaining residue. If the visor is dull use your favorite vinyl conditioner (Lexol Vinylex or Zymol Vinyl).
This is for black vinyl BMW Z3 visors. Better try it on a small test patch in the Cayman in case Porsche uses a different plastic in their visors.
