I'm curious whether those getting PCM are going with the sport steering wheel or going for the multi-function wheel?
I got the sport - but I did think about the other. I think it's nice for the stereo and telephone. I like the look of the sport wheel.
Got the multifunction. Received the car yesterday. I purchased the multiofunction more for the phone than anything else. It really is not thick enough, but hands free for me took priority. If you have any specific questions let me know

JHellow,
If you didn't use the phone features, would the other features be worth it? Have you tried using the buttons for radio/cd/nav control? Are their presence on the wheel over the reaching over worth it?
We got the multifunction with PCM, and know it will suit us much better, except for 'telephone' buttons which we do not understand. Maybe the future holds for satellite radio or something akin to On Star, which might be a good idea for some. We are giving it our best try in learning dials, switches, and buttons on PCM and it is a real challenge. WOW! And, if we had it to do over, 'might not have ordered PCM for our circumstance. We will fly most everywhere we will travel if any distance. Something to think about. And if not PCM, then no multifunction steering wheel.
I upgraded my order to include PCM & hands-free phone. After thinking about this for some time (a day) I decided to add the multi-function steering wheel. I make a fair number of calls from my vehicle (NEVER while driving) and think the upgrade will be worth it. I couldn't see reaching across the shifter to pick up or hang up my calls.

Good point Musgrove, about perhaps not buying PCM, but it is the key, in a way, to all the other tasty goodies. I'm not sure what the future brings for used cars without Nav less desireable as more cars are expected to come with Nav. I got all those gizmos because I don't fly anymore, and those long trips seem a lot shorter in a killer car. I really look forward to the ride sometimes more than the destination. Yes, the PCM has it's own manual, and it's not exactly light reading. There will be a test! Those buttons only work if you have the phone module installed. There is a slot down below the buttons, and a drawer pops out. You stick in your sim card and viola, you now have a 2900 odd pound cell phone.
LIzard King... we have/use a simple hand held cell phone, which I would be tempted to toss out the window, but fortunately, my wife handles cell phone when we are on the road, and we do feel safer with it. Our salesman did not tell us about a 'sim' card or any potential use of the buttons. Please make us smart about this potential. Where do we look and where do we go to maximize this feature? We had same hands free feature in our Tahoe, but Tahoe is gone. We had also satellite radio in Tahoe, and had been told that future PCM could include Ciris satellite radio. What do you hear.. when and how much? Thanks for the alert on sim. Cayman Club members are an on-line treasure.
This is my second car with a multifunction steering wheel. Its great for phone access. I seldom used the wheel controls on my prior car for the radio as it was just as easy to access the center column controls for that. Verdict is out on control of the nav as I am still learning how to use all that.
If you have an integrated phone I think its a great option, otherwise I would have opted for the thick sport steering wheel.
