This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

If you have an iphone, or know someone who has, there is an iphone app called dynolicious that will give you a pretty good idea of your peak hp if you do the inputs accurately (and can find a piece of road to check your 0-60 time!).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As far as I know my car is completely standard but want to check this out before I speak to one of the tuning companies and risk the possibility of being told that it has actually been tweeked. Does anyone know of a low cost way to check what BHP the car is running? What sort of price would one expect to pay???? Cheers

POST 2Original post

If your car boosts over .8 bar then it's probably been re mapped

POST 4Original post

If you have an iphone, or know someone who has, there is an iphone app called dynolicious that will give you a pretty good idea of your peak hp if you do the inputs accurately (and can find a piece of road to check your 0-60 time!). It isnt cheap by app standards - about £8 i think. It reckons my C4S is producing a max of about 320 but then i forgot to add me or any fuel to the published weight of the car so that may account for the lost hp! Certainly not terribly scientific but quite good fun. If you get above the published hp then i guess you may have been remapped.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

BHP Thanks for your replies and I will probably puchase the app for the Iphone. Cheers

POST 6Original post

LOL. Choose the worst suggestion. Just check the boost pressure. Costs nothing.
