Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If you do decide to sell bits off then I'm after the black 'washer' that you use to adjust the speed of your wipers, not the biggest sale perhaps, but it'd be a start

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well further to my last post, I took the plugs out, spun the motor, spattered the walls with oil. Put plugs back and got it started, after creating a smoke cloud got it to roughly tick over. Put some water in and it promptly chugs out the LH exhaust, So its either gasket, head or liner - to be honest I am unwilling to spend money finding out oh, and then theres the dented roof. So I reckon its a scrapper, funny a difference a day makes. 13k - 0 in 5mins any suggestions, ebay salvage section, phoning around salvage buyers, any idea of value?

POST 2Original post

Hi Tim What track where you on when it happened? You could always try these. http://www.douglasvalley.co.uk/

POST 3Original post

Timm, I was gutted to hear about your accident, and now the fact that the engine won't turn over makes it even worse. I'm sure you'll be able to raise a few £k through selling what parts you can through forums and ebay and then flogging what's left to a scrap merchant. What's the interior (seats etc.) like, as I'm sure that'll be worth a few bob. How about the wheels/tyres? If you do decide to sell bits off then I'm after the black 'washer' that you use to adjust the speed of your wipers, not the biggest sale perhaps, but it'd be a start

POST 4Original post

Have you got any pics of the damage, and what are you after for it, as is? I could be interested in taking it on as a project. Let me know Oli

POST 5Original post

If you can get it trailered to junc 1 off the M42 (Bromsgrove) I know a guy (Porsche technician) that can sort it for you. The answer is get it stripped down by a pro, work out the repair or if a replacement engine is way forward. If it goes down the worst route I think £4 to 5k Hard to swallow but don't scrap it, store it until you can afford to do it. Need any help PM me. Lloyd
