Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Following a recent caliper refurb, new discs and pads the brake pedal is very slow to return, even staying on occasionally. On replacement and bleeding the brakes i used a full pedal, this i'm advised may have lead to damage in the master cylinder, you live and learn :nooo: So, looks like i have to replace the master cylinder, so the question, is it an easy DIY job, and any tips before i ***** something else up :frustrated:

POST 2Original post

In principle replacing thee master cylinder is straightforwards as there is no engine or engine stuff to work around. If you remove the plastic covers under the bonnet you will see the master cylinder, it simply bolts onto the front of the brake servo, have a look see what you think.
