Iirc, the tools to remove the drain and fill plugs are different between the 2.7 base transaxle and the S 6-speed - as are the fill procedures.

Over time my '06 CS had been shifting a bit more grudgingly, enough so to get my attention. And the change was gradual enough that I wasn't overly motivated to do the job. Glad I did - The change is appreciable - shifts are easier, smoother w/ much less effort. I used Motul 300 75w90 gear oil (see below), very nearly all of the 3 liters I bought. Get a cheap fluid transfer hand pump with enough hose on the inlet and outlet so to avoid contorting yourself into a pretzel, or add some tubing as needed. Do It! -PM.

I did mine too. It feels smoother almost immediately after completion And clicks into gear. No way would I wait 12 years for fluid replacement when it’s so easy to do. Diy:
