Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

It's renewal time! Best quote for me so far is £625 (Performance Direct via confused.com). Anyone got any other suggestions for a good value insurer before I press the button? 2003 996 C4S 35 years old garaged social only No convictions not at fault accident in 2007 5000 miles pa 13 years NCB I usually declare the minor modification of my 'non standard' air filter and hayward & scott exhaust bypass mod, just doesn't seem worth the hassle should the worst happen. This alone seems to add 10%....

POST 2Original post

Try Bridle. They did a great job for me and understood about my replacement engine which everyone else declared a modification. Got to be worth a phone call!

POST 3Original post

Try "Classic line".....Awesome

POST 4Original post

Classicline, best by a mile up to 5 K per anum on miles only though.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks all, Classicline came out at over £1000 for me, in the end I went with Performance Direct, £680 inc. legal cover and homestart breakdown cover. One thing worth noting is I used confused.com. The next day Performance Direct rang me and said they could include legal cover for nothing and also knock another £25 off. So worth waiting a day or two for those phone calls.

POST 6Original post

Yeah, I think that's a good price... Bridle not always coming up trumps it has to be said... :what:

POST 7Original post

I'm with AF @ £410. Restricted to 5k miles, garaged, Tracker, PCGB discount. Sent me a letter today saying I could add track days for £63.

POST 8Original post

Hmmm strange. I got a quote today from Classicline with almost the same spec as you listed above which came in at 455 quid with agreed value. Must have been your profession or postcode as they dont quote based on NCB!! :dont know:
