Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Hello everyone . I am trying to get a trim part for my 987 cayman . I’ll try to explain and put a picture . I had it at Porsche the other day and they could not locate what it was . It’s the passenger side rear . The brake light cover one part has a little tab that sticks out that goes in a hole the other side there is a plastic twist screw that goes into a plastic thread type square hole . I am missing the insert that goes in the square hole that holds the thumb screw . I know it’s confusing . I have a picture of the square hole where the insert should go . With out that piece the light covering keeps falling off in the car when I drive .

POST 2Original post

I will take a picture from the other side of the actual part that maybe better . I’ll post it soon

POST 3Original post

Looking at the PET I don't see an individual small part here, probably the same trouble your dealer was having. Perhaps a section of a larger part has broken off?
