Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Windows don't drop, clamshell doesn't move. Checked fuses, removed and reinserted relay, tried alternate relay, replaced microswitch for the latch receptacle, and the e-brake light does come on. I've tried being a little rough with the e-brake as well, and manually trigger microswitch to no avail. ideas? I don't even mind having to manually move it, I'd just like to get the clamshell open for servicing and sunny days.

sounds like you have ruled out all the switches. Maybe you've got a bad connection in the wiring somewhere. Mine was the parking brake switch when I had that problem, at least yours isn't stuck open though
