Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

 • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Does anyone know for sure whether a 2002 Porsche Sport Exhaust will fit a 1999? Thanks.

POST 2Original post

No. For MY02 Porsche upgraded the engine to 3.6 liters and completly re-worked the exhaust.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks...you just saved me an expensive lesson.

[quote]Originally posted by 18000rpm: Does anyone know for sure whether a 2002 Porsche Sport Exhaust will fit a 1999? Thanks.

Yes. There is only one type of Sport Exhaust at this moment for all NA 996 models and that is part# 000.044.200.15. The first version (000.044.200.08) with the thin bypass tubes is superseded by this new Sport exhaust. The new sport exhaust has the big bypass tubes and can be installed on every non-Turbo 996.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is this the sport exhaust? It doesn't look like the picture on Carnewal.com Thanks...

POST 7Original post

[quote]Originally posted by 18000rpm: Is this the sport exhaust?

That, to me, looks like the stock (non-sport) exhaust.

POST 8Original post

That is the one on eBay. It is not a sport exhaust. No damper valves.

POST 9Original post

One question-since 02 models have bigger displacement is the sound of the sport exhaust when retrofitted to 99-01 models-ne difference in sound? Regards. Mike
