Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Generation: 20261027T022239Z · outcome-qualification-6. Deterministic extraction; no AI model inference. How we use sources

Has anybody tried this? Should save 20kg ish, get me lower in the car and wouldn't look too 'aftermarket' Do they fit? Is there an existing subframe that would make it work? Any help gratefully received. Ta

POST 2Original post

Can't help with your query but if you want lower and original looking the GT3 (option) seats go straight in and people have put the 987 seats in too.

POST 3Original post

Careful going too low, the steering wheel won't follow..

POST 4Original post

Not sure about later Lotus Elise seats, but early ones are amongst the most thinly padded (and uncomfortable as a result) ones I've used. My Elise S1 had cloth seats - the leather ones were said to be even less comfortable!

POST 5Original post

By a strange coinkidunk, someone on the Boxster Forum has just fitted a pair of 987 seats. Caution - it's a long thread and the seats are on the very last page! http://www.boxa.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6061...

A better shape and more padding but still very light. Not seen any at a tempting enough price though.
