Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Then add painting and fitting, so probably the best part of another £1,000 if you pay someone.
Leading evidence: 'best part of another £1,000 if you pay someone' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'best part of another £1,000 if you pay someone' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi,
Could anyone give me some advice on the GT3 Aero fit for a 2000 996?
Best kit? The oe porsche one i guess?
Any recommendations for garages to fit one near Birmingham?
How much am i looking at for supply and fit?
Any info appreciated
Thanks
Well if you want OEM ones you may want to sit down.
Just checked Design911 and PorscheShop and they charge between £2,460 and £3,180 for the front PU and splitter, sill extensions and rear spoiler.
You may wish to add the rear GT side fins at between £411 - £470.
Then add painting and fitting, so probably the best part of another £1,000 if you pay someone.
You can get replica parts for perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 price for parts (or even scrappies?).
Thanks for the info, i knew thw OE parts wouldn't be cheap.
I'll do some research into the quality of the replica parts.
Is that your car in the photo? It looks great
I would have thought you'd be better of changing to a car with it already fitted to be honest.
I wasn't looking for a car with an Aero kit originally but it's grown on me
Phil
I find that once you have got used to the aero kit, seeing a non-kitted 911 looks somewhat puny (they're not of course, to all non-kitted 911 owners) just the perception I developed after staring (drooling) at my aero-kitted 911 for the past year and a half! (Which I'm sorry/happy to say will be leaving my ownership.)
Technically, you may be correct as Aerokit'd models do benefit from a slight ram air effect (via the pre fixed-wing scoops).
PS - what's happening with your car? You can only be happy you're leaving it if you're moving onto something better?
It's grown on me too but the £4k finished job doesn't make sense. I'll change it in due course anyway and I doubt that it'll make the car worth another £4k on trade in?
Of course that assumes that it's been done to a high standard too which isn't a certainty.
I've got a budget of 16K for a 996. I want one with the Aero kit and if it's 4K for the finished job i'll be looking for one with the kit already fitted.
This one just sold on pistonheads so i think i'm in with a chance with my budget
