Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Question: I have a bottle of porsche window cleaner concentrate. Green liquid but doesn't appear to protect against freezing and says don't mix with any other window cleaner. So, what do you all recommend? Any experience? Can I mix the usual blue liquid out of the jug with the P car stuff or will the methanol in the blue stuff cause trouble?

POST 2Original post

I believe what you have is the "Summer" additive. If you live where it doesn't freeze, use it per the instructions (don't mix with the Blue fluid). As an aside, I asked the Parts specialist at my dealer (Winner Porsche) about the Porsche "Summer" and "Winter" additives I read about in the owners manual. He told me not to bother with them and to use regular windshield fluid, like you get at Pep Boys. Refreshingly honest...
