Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi all, I am looking at getting the multi function retrofit kit from Suncoast and am contemplating installing it myself and possibly coding it to activate MFSW via a durametric cable. Has anyone else done this and have some tips on doing it? Is the gen2 models airbag easier to get out than the gen1? Thanks in advance

POST 2Original post

Take a look at the following link. It is for a PDK car but the removal of the wheel is the same. I've changed the wheel out on my car both at the dealer and at home when I removed the paddle shift wheel. Scroll down to post 20-21 Multi-function wheel upgrade for 997.2 - Page 2 - 6speedonline.com Forums I'm not sure about the Durametric Cable

POST 3Original post

Big thankyou for that info, exactly what I was looking for!! It looks reasonably straight forward I just have a bad feeling I will do more harm then good in terms of damage to the wheel e.t.c Might get a dealer to do it for me, not sure..

POST 4Original post

I would hope that a dealer wouldn't charge much more than an hours labor.
