That’s what is looks like to me, but it actually appears to be replacing the standard (lovely) set with a different (ugly) set costing €16.5k !

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hi All, I've seen/met a couple of owners with the new GT3 who are saying that they got a factory build slot, but have no history in buying previous GT cars or even a lot of Porsche's in general. Now, they sceptic in me is saying that they are talking B/S and they just don't want to admit they have paid £100k overs...but it also might be possible that they are telling the truth.
Anyone else heard similar stories?
I know a few 992 GT3 owners and they bought them new, to their spec. They've had GT products in the past but they are not million-pounds-a-year spenders. They're customers who are loyal to their individual OPCs.
Someone has to buy them new, and not everyone is a flipper!
Nope, don’t know a single 992 GT3 owner in the UK who didn’t have a long standing relationship with the delivering OPC.
Not that I know every 992 GT3 owner

It looks like some kind of disc attached to the original rim
Yes indeed, but why would you do that, those wheels need to be shown off, not covered up!

Maybe some aero benefit or just likes how it looks - seems like it is color matched to the calipers (the writing)

It's an aftermarket wheel, and not a cheap one either.

Holy F that’s expensive for an Aluminium rim

I got a gt4 and a 991.2gt3 having only ever bought the One car from Porsche 12 years before ,and I know a few others with similar tales.
So yes it is more than possible

‘Prices shown are for a set of 4 wheels’
They look god awful … am I alone with that thought?

No!
Ditto. Take a nice set of wheels and cover them in some bizarre metal shape.

Mansory would find those too much.

True, they're not a great design even without the weird rim thing.

1 in 5 in favour of them, the ratio isn't looking good (like the rims)
