Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Hi, I am replacing my blown ASK amp. Guides on here state you can just do a direct replacement of the ASK amp with an amp of your choice if you are not upgrading the entire sound system. I've installed audio systems before and normally would use an 8 gauge power/ground wires for the amp connection. The guides I've seen suggest using the stock wiring which looks to be between 10-12 gauge at most. My amp recommends an 8 gauge wire, will this be an issue? The amp shouldn't run hot as it will be using only a small amount of its capabilities to drive the two 8" front woofers.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
