Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

What's the best/easiest way to check whether the ECU has been flashed with an aftermarket file? I don't have a Durametic cable or any software to read the ECU. I bought my car used before, and do know know the owner either. So there is no way for me to ask. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I'd dyno the car to see if there was any hp bump over stock. Find a dyno shop that has done a car similar to yours for a comparison. But before that, check if the exhaust or any other potential performance mods were done by the previous owner since a tune will usually be done to get the most from the new parts.

POST 3Original post

Actually, the reason why I asked is because the car came with the smaller version of IPD Plenum + aftermarket intake. That what got me started hehe Unfortunately every car feels different to begin wit. On top of that, most of the 987.1 in my area are either not stock anymore, or are missing the 3rd pedal. It's a little hard to use the butt dyno to determine anything. I suppose dyno run could be a good one as last resort ...
