I fitted 305/30/19s to the rear, they are a little stretched so next time i will use 315s.

Suggestion
err, no they won't, the reeva wheels on fleabay are 8.5x19" 5-130pcd et 53 front, 12.0x19" 5-130pcd et 51 rear, check an offset calculator.

Suggestion
yes, sounds right, i'm not concerned by outer arch clearance, thats only a few mm, the inner arch is the only place it might rub, but if you are running the standard ride height for the turbo would have thought you would be fine - your man at reeva says his are ok.

Suggestion
By going wider by 1 inch might render your wheels standing proud of the wheelarches (illegal in the UK) unless the ET setting has been altered to account for this.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi
ive been looking for some wheels for some time and have found a company called reeva on ebay selling 8.5x19 front and 12.0x19 rear gt3 wheels
they say that they will fit my 996 tubo s fine
but performance alloy have told me the 12x19 are to wide
has anyone fitted 12s on the back before
any help would be grate
many thanks k :thumb:
I thought the biggest you can go for on the back were 11 x 18? By going wider by 1 inch might render your wheels standing proud of the wheelarches (illegal in the UK) unless the ET setting has been altered to account for this. Also, by going 1 inch more in diameter on a car with suspension that has already been lowered at the factory - will this not result in the tyres rubbing against the wheel arches?
Just my 2p - I'm sure someone like ChrisW, Richard H or those knowledgable about wheel fittings will be along to point you in the right direction.

i've got the 19x11 New turbo wheels on my Turbo the five spoke split spoke ones with polished face.. they needed spacers to fit and some times under big loads can catch the inner arch, it's not doing any damage just rubbing on plastic.
i'd say dont go for 12 wide unless your looking at rolling the arch and adding a wide body if it's not a turbo.. if it a turbo you could space them out and role the arch and that might work but to be honest I'd not want to mess with that really..
as said previously, the turbo you have is widebody chassis so think 12" wide would fit if the offset was correct, checking...

on the rears it looks like you get 7mm further out on the arch, 19mm less clearance on the inside, so you may get rubbing on the inner arch if its lowered any more than standard.
its a 19 inch rim also verses the original 18", so you have top get the right profile/width tyres and the ride might be a bit harsher with the thinner rubber, but they look like nice rims!
I have a set of these in my garage ready to go on the weekend along with my GT3 6 pot upgrade
The wheels will stick out 3mm more on the front and about 6mm on the back.
They are also featured on Design911s website:

Once all on I will take some pics and share my parts list for the brake upgrade..
Cheers

err, no they won't, the reeva wheels on fleabay are 8.5x19" 5-130pcd et 53 front, 12.0x19" 5-130pcd et 51 rear, check an offset calculator.
in fact thats 997TT fitment on the rears
D911 sells the wheels in 11J et45 fitment for the rear of the 996TT.
Thanks Asterix you sent me off in a panic
i have contacted Reeva, they said i can return wheels no probs, so thats the easy bit... sorted and Riley there was very good about it, but he says he runs them on his car no probs..
So.... i have been doing some more homework!!! uh oh I hear you cry..
I have been looking at the parts book for the turbo and it is shared with the GT2.. The back end of the car is virtually indentical bar a few parts, control arms and ARB.. so with that I have concluded that hub faces on both cars are the same dimensionally.. so i then looked at the GT2 wheels, they are 12" x 18 with an offset of 45, so using the calculator the wheels protrude more than the Turbos by 13mm. The wheels supplied by Reeva are 12" with an offset of 51, so they protrude 7mm more but 6mm less than the GT2 original wheels... so with this in mind the Reeva wheels should fit!
Anymore thoughts anyone ? are my calcs correct?
Cheers
Sorry!

Its my understanding that the regular turbo is 11in with offset 45 on the rears? what are the regular size and profile of tyre?
have you put rubber on them yet? would be interesting to find out what size the reeva guy is using if his fit fine.
Cheers asterix
I agree with you on rubbing on inner arch but how does the GT2 get around it I wonder. Different geometry and stiffer suspension perhaps. Plus the GT2 runs a 315/30/18. Riley at Reeva runs 315/30/19 and says they are good. He is sending me pics to show me. I have a set of 305/30/19s ready to go on the rears. I also know someone with a GT2. So might call him to see what he thinks and send me closeups of the rear.
Oh and the turbo STD rears are 11" with 45 offset.
Cheers
Cheers Astrix. Your help has been much appreciated.. :thumb:
When the wheels are on I will add some pics to this thread and my profile..
I will also do a thread on my brake upgrade when on... it will be this week as I have cured the paint on the calipers, applied new stickers I just have to rebuild the calipers and fit as all the other parts are waiting on my garage floor to go on...
I will fit the wheels after i have done the brakes so it can all look nice and shiney together!!

Fitted New wheels to the car last night from Reeva wheels.
They look great. Fitting is great. Reeva wheels were helpful and got me some pics to show them first fitting them on Rileys car. Riley was very difficult to get hold off, I think he has fingers in a lot of pies :dont know: but one of his guys helped me out no problem.
The fronts fitted no probs and the rears too. I fitted 305/30/19s to the rear, they are a little stretched so next time i will use 315s. The offset is fine, in fact I am thinking of fitting a small spacer to match the offset of GT2 fitment...
In all the car looks great really adds to the look..
If i could figure out how to load up pictures I would put them up for all to see.
So now i have a full set of original turbo wheels for sale. They have good tyre life left. Rears are about 4mm, maybe 5mm and the fronts are new 5 months ago and i have only done a few thousand miles... I will clean them up and get and get them refurbed or repaired (if required) so will look like new.. Anyone interested just PM me
Cheers
Wheels and brakes are looking good 8)
One thing to check is the rolling radius of your tires i think with 305s on the back ,it is out more than the recomended limmit (between front and rear) for the v/c diff depending on the make of tire.
If your looking for coilovers i have a set in the forsale section.
