Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Okay, this is a super dumb question to the tenth power, but where is the amp for my PCM 2.1 head unit. After doing various searches on this website and the internet in general, all I should have to do is open the front trunk, remove the emergency tire repair kit panel, and presto, it should be staring right at me! It's not! I can see where something like an amplifier could be mounted, but it is completely empty. So does that mean my amplifier is part of my head unit? According to Euro Motorspeed and other threads/articles, the ASK (whatever that stands for) amp should be in my front trunk. It ain't... I'm trying to wire the rear storage compartment speakers. The instructions said to run the wiring through the wall between the passenger compartment and the front trunk. Did that. Now what? I'm going to take a break from running wires and mow the lawn. Hopefully in the meantime someone will be able to shed some light in my vacant skull as to how to proceed!

If you haven't figured it out yet, it is under the passenger's seat.
