FM modulators just don't work... especially in a city (IMO). Check with Suncoast... they offered the "official" IPOD adaptor... not cheap... also check with your dealer.. they surely can/might install ... even more expensive.. This has been addressed on some other theads... try "search"... This caught my eye since I, too, have a Base 07.. and was thinking of the adaptor... but have not pulled the trigger.. D

Hi, I'm in the middle of installing the Dension device that connects to the MOST fiber optic system. It is a little spendy at $450... but should sound a good deal better than and FM modulator.

What do you mean by "the 'official' IPOD adaptor"? I was under the impression that Porsche's official ipod adaptor was indeed an FM modulator thingy, and we all know these things do not work at all in cities where the FM band is full. Is there a new product by Porsche that is a direct connection?

The "official' IPOD adaptor" is a hard wired FM modulator. It gets installed in between the antenna connector and the radio.

It's seem to be the most popular item to get the best sound from your Ipod buy utilizing the MOST cable which removes the static and other noises you would get from a FM modulator. Plus you can control the ipod from the head unit. RR
