Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Someone will correct my recollection of history, and I don't remember the Porsche series numbers, but didn't they historically have series changes for different MY's.

Ceramic brakes are also on the cards right across the range, while insiders have suggested the company is working on a new sequential gearbox to replace the unloved Tiptronic system.

And cabrio mules have been seen out on test, suggesting the firm's affair with the high-performance convertible is far from over.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Back To The Future On 911
An exclusive shot in the current issue of Auto Express magazine shows the all-new 911, due on sale in 2004, and its radical fresh look has been lifted from the history books.
The new machine drops the controversial 'fried egg' headlamps (right, in picture) in favour of more a traditional oval light, which harks back to the 911 of the Sixties and Seventies. This change is in response to criticisms from customers, some of whom felt the current look was untidy.
As with the headlamps, the new model's engine and transmission maintain Porsche tradition. All will be six-cylinder petrol units which will channel their power to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.
Four-wheel-drive editions are also thought to be under development, as are turbo cars. And cabrio mules have been seen out on test, suggesting the firm's affair with the high-performance convertible is far from over. Both the wheelbase and track on the car seen here have been extended, increasing stability as well as passenger space. It's also thought the 911 will offer proper seating for four for the first time.
Technical developments should include a more efficient air inlet system. Ceramic brakes are also on the cards right across the range, while insiders have suggested the company is working on a new sequential gearbox to replace the unloved Tiptronic system. The modifications will better prepare the Porsche to meet the challenge of rivals from Ferrari and Maserati. Dan Strong
Apparently there is one in the magazine itself - I just saw this one article on the internet. I am sure others have better sources than I...but will have a look.

From above: Who is this guy and from where he takes this information (maybe his wife)!!, he sales hot dogs also?!! LOL!
That doesn't sound like any new information except that all this stuff is going to take place in a year. I think we could determine from spy photos that the headlights are probaably going to be oval, but a 4 seat 911 in a year...I don't think so.
chronologically (sp?) 2004 would be the time for a change..
Someone will correct my recollection of history, and I don't remember the Porsche series numbers, but didn't they historically have series changes for different MY's. (no flames on specifics..I'm just trying to point out that 2004 IS the time for a change.

Okay, which one of you complained? Now the press will be all over this when they release the new model. An 996 will do down the history as having a weird headlight. Bad for resale!
