Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just a word of caution - I found the strut brace above fitted my S2 (but not the 968 as advertised).

You will find you can set about -2 degrees camber on standard strut mounts which I found good for road/track.

Suggestion

The under chassis Brace kit, which ties the lower suspension load points(on the front) together is a wicked idea, only of use if you use a strut tower brace.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, Just picked up a package courtesy of Lindsey Racing in Oklahoma. 968 M030 rear sway bar (LR copy at least) with the required bushes and the front sway bar mount stiffeners. Will go into the S2 next week with the matching front bar/bushes. Next order is to Elephant Racing for their "sport hardness" front A arm bushes and a ball joint rebuild kit to tighten up the front end. Then a set of sticky rubber prior to next sprint. Will then see what needs to be done re springs and torsion bars Cheers Greg

POST 2Original post

I'd be interested to watch the ball joint rebuild actually.....I always thought I'd go this way than just buy new Lower arms. I can strongly recommend the following to tighten up the front end : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tarett-Eng-944-Front-Swaybar-Stiffener-Bracket-Pr-/310491297391?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item484ab9366f and http://www.ebay.com/itm/PORSCHE-944-951-TURBO-968-924S-BREY-KRAUSE-PERFORMANCE-STRUT-TOWER-BRACE-BAR-/390524774961?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3APorsche%7CModel%3A968&hash=item5aed172a31&vxp=mtr The Front ARB Bracket supports/Braces are the best bang for buck improvement I've done on a 944/968's . Brings some precision to the table........

Greg has an S2. I had a Dyna-Tech Brace on my CS. NLA. I should have removed it, they go for USD$800. Anyway..........the Brey Krause one will fit the S2 no Drama's, as you mentioned. Not many fit 968's properly. This crowds stuff does though. http://www.deutschnine.com/porsche-transaxle/porsche-968-sport-and-clubsport-performance-tuning-parts.php The under chassis Brace kit, which ties the lower suspension load points(on the front) together is a wicked idea, only of use if you use a strut tower brace. They have some seriously good gear for trans-axle waterpumpers.........

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I didn't even think of a strut brace! But the front ARB braces are sitting on my coffee table? Will let you know when the arms are going to be done.. Greg

POST 6Original post

There are the standard pressed Galv(looking) Mounts for the front ARB, however these Braces triangulate the mounts, are these what you have? Kudos to you!

POST 7Original post

Hi Greg, You will find you can set about -2 degrees camber on standard strut mounts which I found good for road/track. Depends on track and conditions but probably start with R27/F29 psi for R rubber to end at 36 psi Hot. Cheers, Mark.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yep, those are the ones I have. I don't know where the question mark came from..... Greg

Also look to Racers Edge for some great suspension components. More for the club racer or track car. http://www.racersedge-inc.com/
