Taking a page from the LN engineering install, I am wondering if i can splice into the return line near the steering rack, and run a hose to the front where I can mount a universal power steering cooler?

DIY power steering cooler? Is this possible? Hi Everyone, I am a long time reader. I have a 2006 Cayman S and have done alot of reliability mods for track use. This season, I am looking to add a power steering cooler, since I think last summer the reservoir was empty and I think the fluid over flowed. I already have a under drive pulley on the PS pump. I have looked at a few kits and most seems ridiculously priced for what it is. I like the idea of mounting the cooler infront of the driver side radiator. Taking a page from the LN engineering install, I am wondering if i can splice into the return line near the steering rack, and run a hose to the front where I can mount a universal power steering cooler? I have attached a few pictures, and where the white arrow is, is where I plan to splice and add a 90 degree connector. Is this a flexible rubber hose? What is the diameter of it? Any ideas if this will work? Thanks,
