Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Anyone have any thoughts as to which would be better?? If I decided to take the plunge, I was thinking x51. But I've never seen any official performance #'s as well as cost??? The thought of the Kompressor is a little scary.....a lot of engine stress. Seems as though the Carrera engine would be easier to service as well. Any opinions would be appreciated....Thanks.

POST 2Original post

X-51... it's not that the supercharger is scary... the X-51 can be serviced by your local Porsche dealer, if you want. And, the crate motor itself will carry a warranty from PAG (two years, If I'm not mistaken), although Ruf has a warranty on all their work, too. brad

POST 3Original post

Why not go both and supercharge an X-51? Now we are talking... For longevity and reliability the X-51 For more HP and torque the Supercharger or Turbo Really depends on what is more important to you.

POST 5Original post

You have no worries with the Ruf supercharger.I know the person who did the mapping for the kit and he tried to blow it up on the dyno but the only thing he did was melt the cats.

POST 6Original post

You will not get a warranty from Porsche if they found out it was in a Cayman.
