Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 3Original post

You can special order any model you want through the special wishes department. No?

POST 4Original post

If they have enough left-over parts, they WILL make a C2S . That's apparently why they made the previous C2S .

POST 5Original post

lol Palting, I think your right The C2s wasn't as good to drive as the C4s or as the reguler production carrera.

POST 6Original post

Hey All, I've been there done that in trying to help with a donor car for this guy. Never got the parts and there was no regard for the car or its owner. Although I don't want to share details publicly, I would be careful with this request. Kind regards,

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Vinnie......I never recall borrowing your 993TT (96TT). I have access to several 993TTs and have built quality parts for those cars and the last time I had a 993TT in the shop was 2 years ago and its my plastic surgeon buddies speedyellow TT. If you have any issues that you want to resolve and or need to contact Fabspeed just call or contact us privately. People in the trade borrow cars all the time. In the meantime any 2002 996 narrowbody owner will be well compensated with certain free parts (996 Cold Air upgrade kit and etc.) or a discounted exhaust system just call or email Joe, Dan, Mike @ Fabspeed Motorsport Have a great day [phone removed]. The steering is more direct and communicative to say the least.

POST 9Original post

Sorry, was lurking on your board and could not help but post. Its all relative between the 2WD and 4WD arguments, Porsche built both because they appeal to different people. I've never owned a 4WD car (driven a few though)and bought my '97 2S because I like the tail happy feel and dont 'need' all wheel drive. In a recent issue of GT magazine they commented on the Carrera S saying that due to the wide track and 18" rims fitted to most cars they can be a bitch on uneven roads (we only have uneven roads in the UK!)....so the general idea was that it was not as fun, or easy, to drive as the standard Carrera (but is sure looks good). I dont tend to have any handling issues with my car, though I have 17" Cups fitted so its probabbly a more comfortable ride. Way, way <img src="graemlins/offtopic.gif" border="0" alt="[offtopic]" />

POST 10Original post

The car I was talking about that has since been sold is a 97 black C4S and the shop was in Trenton called Mufflex or something like that. I hope that refreshes your memory.

POST 11Original post

Thank you Burnham, this was my point exactly. and Vik, I never intended to suggest that the C2s was a bad car, I said it wasn't as good to drive as a C4s or a reguler carrera. Granted my targa is not as good to drive as the rest of the 911 line-up. Hope I don't anger any other targa owners

POST 12Original post

Here we go again... 2wd verses 4wd! If we are going to argue this again someone better bring some beers!

POST 13Original post

First of all the 2WD 97-98 993 widebody was called a CS, and the badge read "CarreraS" Secondly FWIW, and with all due respect to Vinnie, I was the actual, real live person who "donated" my 2002 996 C4 Cab to Joe Fabiani for him to measur in order to fabricate the tips he wants to try out. I would do it again, but the drive from Cape Cod to Trenton is a bit much. HOWEVER, when I went down and met Joe, he gave me a break on a set of Fabspeed mufflers, and installed them for me while he had the car. Not inconvenienced at all. Met Joe (great guy). Would do it again if I could.
