Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 997 GTS went in for its first major service today. My very positive experiences of a Swedish OPC are perhaps not relevant to the forum, and I will not delve further into them. However, an incredibly annoying rattle had been prominent on any bumpy stretch of motorway or fast road, and I mentioned this in passing when I dropped the car off. Apparently the chief tech was well aware of the problem, and diagnosed it as being related to the rear number plate housing, which was duly replaced. I have read a lot of comments on interior rattles originating everywhere from the engine to Tempe seat belt tensioner, but this was new to me. The rattle is completely gone, the car sounds as tight as I imagined it did the day it left the factory. Thought this FYI might help someone.
