Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I've noticed over the past month that my convertible top closes outside the plastic sills on (usually) the right side when closing, necessitating the Re opening and application of hand force to get the top material to fall in the sill as designed. I've researched a number of instances of this, but I've not come across any that were covered under warranty. Has anyone on the forum had this issue fixed under warranty? Thanks, and happy Thanksgiving to you all! Mike

POST 2Original post

Yes, i had this covered under warranty on my base 2010 about a year ago. This is a pretty common issue on Boxsters and is caused from a loss of elasticity on a strap. The dealer had to send the car out to a specialty shop to be fixed.

POST 3Original post

Same here. 2009 CPO Boxster and just had it done last month. Dealer replaced straps, issue fixed.

POST 4Original post

wonder how much they charge. i have the same issue on mine

POST 5Original post

I'll be taking mine in next week post holiday. I'll ask them what the work would have set me back had I not been under CPO. I appreciate all the replies folks! Mike
