Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

That being said, I do not drive with the windows down much because I run the AC for many months of the year.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Anyone else have hot engine air coming into the cabin from the seat belt slots when the windows are open? I'm wondering if the Hip engine cover is creating a vacuum.

POST 2Original post

ive not had this happen, nor do i have a HIP cover. try putting the old cover back on and see if it replicates?

POST 3Original post

The area behind the seats can emit a lot of heat in heavy traffic or on a hot day. Sometimes the belts themselves feel a bit warm due to heat soak from the engine but I don't think I've experienced what you're describing.

POST 4Original post

If you only have a HIP cover that could be the issue. You may need to put the Aluminum engine cover back on and just take it off for special occasions or see if you can find a motordrive clear engine cover to go under the HIP cover. The stock engine cover and the motordrive both seal the engine bay.

POST 5Original post

No such problem in my car with stock firewall engine cover. Sounds like HIP engine cover has air leaks.

POST 6Original post

I have the HIP cover and live in deep South Texas but do not have this problem (987 CS). That being said, I do not drive with the windows down much because I run the AC for many months of the year.
