Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

That the rarest Porsche RS of them all is not a 911 but one of the marque’s transaxle models might surprise you, but the 968 Turbo RS boasts all the credentials of the veritable future classic. Just four were produced, of which this Speed Yellow example is one. Better yet, it’s for sale…
Everybody knows that when it comes to limited-edition modern-era Porsches from Zuffenhausen, rarity and originality are king of the value drivers. The fact that this 968 Turbo RS, which has just emerged for sale in the Classic Driver Market with Messina Classics in Germany, is one of just four produced and the sole road-registered example will no doubt be music to collectors’ ears.
The 968 Turbo RS was conceived to compete in a new GT racing category born from the ashes of Group C in the early 1990s. The road-going 968 Turbo S, of which 14 were built, served to homologate the RS model, which was stripped of even more weight and received a full roll cage, a fire extinguisher system, an endurance fuel tank and myriad tweaks to the blown four-cylinder engine, raising power to a healthy 330HP.
The range of transaxle models might not have been the commercial success that Porsche had envisioned, nor garnered worldwide adoration like that of the 911. But it’s widely known that the final 968 was a real honey to drive and easily the best of the bunch. We can only imagine how good this sharpened Turbo RS is to drive, be it on a twisting country road or a fast, sweeping circuit. That so few were built is a shame in that the car’s potential was never realised on the racetrack, but an ultra-significant selling point for today’s ever-discerning collectors.

The range, as a whole, may have not been what was originally envisioned , but they did sell a lot of particular models before the exchange rate and the new crop of Japanese sports cars arrived.
Magnificent cars & so underated !!
The inspiration for me to build another 968 Turbo RS tribute the 5th car built by Fitzgerald racing , the original prototype & only Guards Red car of the four sold in 2012 for $342,000 USD at auction
I saw this very car back in February at the big Stuttgart Classic car show and shot a few pics.. A cool feature is how the cruise control stalk is now used to adjust boost settings.. Oh, how I would like to nick the engine and install in my own 968..
