Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

3) It's not the springs per se that change the negative camber, its the way that lowering the car changes the geometry of the suspension.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

front : -1.12 / -1.3 camber 1/16 toe(both sides)
rear : -2.2 / -2.3 camber 1/32 toe ( both sides)
they said they could not go under -2.3
IS THAT RIGHT?
? I know the springs makes the car more negative, but that seems a lot...
Car drives on rails, i know it will give the rear tires some ware (we do drive porsches) i will probably swap sides on the rears one a year

Custom exhaust system with magnaflow high flow cats, magnaflow resonator, and oem mb muffler (sounds great, not much louder than stock but has a good growl to it)
The antenna does not operate (the car has aftermarket head unit installed, I imagine this has something to do with it. The sound quality of the sound systemis very nice, however. The stock head unit WAS and IS NOT included
The rear glass has delamination going down the driver side
The shifter is a mis-matched wood to the birds eye on the dash and console, it would probably be ideal to add a stock vinyl e500 shifter
Door inserts are previously repaired for cup holder holes (a very good job was done however, it is hardly noticeable.)
Two wheel bolts out of the original set are missing. These are NLA from benzand I have not found 2 yet, however Im sure it wouldnt be difficult to find apair of bolts on the forums or ebay if searched for enough
The car shows and drives really nicely, no rock chips on the front end, paint shines amazingly with the C-quart sealant applied, seats were treated with leatherique and are in really nice shape (no bolster wear.) I am located in Houston, Texas in the River Oaks/ Galleria area. I welcome PPIs on the car. If you feel I missed anything in the description, do not hesitate to ask. I am offering the car for 21k with the e55 monoblocks. My only reason for selling is I acquired a 1994 (last year) 1 owner with 78k miles. I have tons of pics of this car, any serious buyers send me a PM and I will exchange phone/ email information with you so I can provide more pictures and information.
Regards,
Chris

1) Is that 1/16 toe-in each side, or total for the front? IIRC, 1/16 each side is out of spec for a 996 on an 18" wheel. 1/16 of toe-in is around 11' per side, or 22' total. Porsche spec is around 5' per side.
Toe-in will chew tires more than negative camber.
1/32 each side for a total of 1/16 would be in spec, but a bit on the high side.
2) 1/32 toe-in in the rear also appears to be out of Porsche spec. I think Porsche recommends more toe-in in the rear, somewhere between 5'-15' per side. I think around 10-15' is more typical. [1/32 is around 6']. IIRC, total toe should be around 25' or so. 1/32 per side is around 12' total - or 1/2 of Porsche spec.
3) It's not the springs per se that change the negative camber, its the way that lowering the car changes the geometry of the suspension. You would have the same type of effect if you had an adjustable ride height and lowered the car.
4) -2.3 camber in the rear OK. I've run more than that for years. It's not going to result in much more inside tire wear than than your toe-in will. Just get some high treadwear tires and you'll be fine.
Is your shop a Porsche shop?
Can you post your complete alignment specs?

[edit: found the specs for your car]
Why would you change springs for rust? This is a street car right? Don't really remember but the turbo (also all wheel drive) is 0 camber and .02 toe in in the front. As you lower the car it is very hard to set the rears with out using dog bones and gt3rs toe arms.
Love these cars - hope you find a TX buyer!
Curious though, what does this mean? "The stock head unit WAS and IS NOT included". Is the stock head unit included or not?
TD,
i just uploaded the sheet in the first post, like i said the guy is reputable and said it would be an aggressive street, Just wondering if i should bring it back to tone it down a bit... Thanks for the responses..
Mike
Exactly what Mpowered stated, sorry if that came off as confusing. Also, I am willing to trade up or down let me know what you have. Car, motorcycle, watch, it doesn't matter. I don't need 2 500e Mercedes sitting around, 1 is enough. Thanks!
Chris
I had an 02 C2 with PSS9's and it would not do better then -2.3 in the rears. I ran the ps2's for the harder inner compound and still would burn though the tires. Get the dog bones and toe links. Your tires will thank you. Plus you will never know the difference on the street. Just my .02 cents.
I don't post much on this forum, but had to comment that this car is awesome. Wish I was in the market to pick it up, and it's local! One day......GLWS
