That's right! Home, baby. Service was great at HBL in Tyson's Corner (near DC). Car seems as described...though I haven't had much of a chance to put it through many paces yet. I can say for sure that you can tell the difference in ride between the two suspension settings with PASM. It's a comfortable car in soft, but it becomes what feels pretty dang stiff in the firm setting. Should be fun to test the difference on track. Soooooooooooooon....
Those sports seats don't like me, though. At least not for long rides. But hey, they're the lightest.
Hope to get pics as well as get my car on the scales on Tuesday. I'll easily have my thousand miles on it by then and can really start working it over.
The low end grunt even just up to 4500 is pretty great in sport mode. Not bad in regular, but pretty great in sport mode. This is going to be one fun as heck car.

Have a great weekend. Enjoy the toy.
1127? Interesting, mine is 1125, build date was November 2nd, arrived in Japan on December 12th, picked it up on December 24th... What was your build date?
Don't know. I thought it was supposed to be completed Nov 21, but I didn't look on the sticker to see.

1470 is Home. Guards red Cayman S was ready to be delivered first thing this morning, as officially sanctioned. Sure enough it was right there on the showroom floor, along with 5 'siblings'. Dealership used 3 other Caymans for controlled test drives that went on for hours. They did it right, IOHO, along with announcements, invitations, and catered hamburgers with sides. Weather was great, as was the turnout of other Porsche owners, PCA members, and other interested/curious people. New Cayman deliveries were made with no problems asmorning went into afternoon. This Porsche model may be the highlight for time to come.
Got to 'play' a bit today on some backroads with an NSX behind me. I am still being kind to my car in terms of revs and it seemed like I could still pull him fairly easily. Dunno how hard he was pushing it. In the curves he seemed to do fine, but I didn't know the road well, and he may have (and it had a lot of driveways on it for a 55mph twisty backroad, so I wasn't comfortable really pushing it).
I will note that even in Sport mode the PSM does still kick in too early for my tastes. Fortunately the button pretty much turns it off.
I am pretty sure that red is faster, too. I know 1470 will agree here. *cough*
