Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

This has a Cayman S V 996 C4S review Good read, split the reviewers, one for the 996 & one for the Cayman S. Later in the year they are track testing the 997, 987S & the Cayman S, that will be a very interesting test session, cant wait for the results. regards Rod

since we wont get that issue for a while.. if you have time, can you please post the outcomes.. what they liked and dissliked about each car? thanks

POST 5Original post

Do you think they will ever make the Cayman 4wd? I dont see the point really but Porsche seems to build every variation of every model for every possible market segment.

POST 6Original post

Cometh the Hour, Cometh the Cayman The Cayman is on UK roads at last and it’s awesome: but at a price – the exact same price, in fact, as a fully-specced, nearly new 996 C4S. Where would our money go?

POST 7Original post

No. It's technically possible, but extreemly impracticle as the engine sits between the gearbox and the front axle. In the 911, the gearbox has direct access to the front axle making it a no-brainer.

POST 8Original post

It was a good article, although interestingly they didn't put the cayman up against the 2006 911 4s. one reviewer decided he'd choose the 4s for the money and the other would go for the cayman as it was more fun. I've still to see an article that really praises the cayman hands down. Most seem to try and find a fault.
