Suggestion

Use Image Resizer using Microsoft PowerToys for XP (or Vista/Win7 equivalent), or simply open and resave in Microsoft Paint (this program uses an aggressive jpeg compression so the resolution is maintained, but the data size is smaller), you can of course resize/scale in Microsoft Paint aswell, or PhotoEditor or PhotoShop etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Owned a BMW 540 and under heavy acceleration the orange traction control light would flash away quite happily letting me know how clever it was sorting out the power, whilst I got on with sorting out the radio. So now doing similar driving in the C4 I have seen no apparent flashing lights to accompany my driving style so was wondering if my new purchase just has the grip to stick and go or am I innocently chewing through the Goodyear's without knowing it?

POST 2Original post

I think the viscous clutch is just doing its thing. That and the big old lump over the rear tyres. The PSM (Porsche Stability Management) operates to correct expected steering/direction course divergence on the AWD models. ie to prevent understeer or oversteer. Traction control (or ASR) triggers when the driven wheels are on vastly different surfaces, such is the grip of the tyres. You will know the system is triggered as the PSM indicator will light up, the following may also be obvious: Hydraulic noises can be heard (brake actuators) The vehicle decelerates and steering-wheel forces are altered (as the PSM brakes individual wheels) Reduced engine power (fuel injection control) Brake pedal pulsates and its positionis changed during application of brakes. I took my car on the Skid Pan (low friction surface) at PEC Silverstone and I forgot to turn the PSM off as advised by the instructors, and my god did you know it was working. I felt sorry for the car it was trying so hard to control the direction. It almost felt like it was going to shake itself to death.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers for that, so i'll keep the right foot planted then. GT4: Have you got a better pic of the rear of your car? Hard to make out in your standard pic.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Like the fixed rear wing. Don't know if I prefer the original moving wing or replacing it?? Also can't upload any decent pics. By the time I've cropped to the allowable mb's I'm left with a door handle. Any suggestions?

If the image is to be hosted on 911UK then it must be a maximum 256 KB (the actual resolution is immaterial, it is a storage limit).
