I don't want to buy another set unless I can avoid it as that'll probably be about £200!!

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Hoping someone might be able to help. I need my car tomorrow and just discovered a rear nut is missing. It's the lockable one, so no doubt not screwed in properly when i had my tyres replaced!!! It's a number 4 lock and wondered whether these are items the OPC sells separately and typically carry stock of. I don't want to buy another set unless I can avoid it as that'll probably be about £200!! The car will be securely locked so I could get away with a regular bolt if these are sold separately, as I might be able to source one from a breakers later on. Cheers

POST 2Original post

The keys are sold separately (in case of loss), but AFAIK the bolts themselves are sold as a four-pack. I guess they might be able to do a special order? If they cost that much, I would investigate some £30 McGards from Halfrauds or similar. As for spare bolts, during alloy upgrades or dealer fit of locking wheel bolts etc, the service dept often chuck the "spares" (ie 4 bolts per car). Call your local OPC, they probably have a box full (for free)?

POST 3Original post

They are £58.12 inc VAT for a set from an OPC. A non-locking bolt is £6.28. Like GT4 says, drop in to your local OPC and see what they can do. They are quite likely to have a box of bolts in the workshop and could probably match one up for you. I know people who have replaced lost locking sockets this way.
