One of them was Tim Harvey's personal 991.2RS where he consistently ran 1' 45s even with ballast/passenger !!.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Lovely work as usual. Do you mind if I can use the ones of mine?

Perfect.. I usually do that. Cheers.
If you find anymore of mine please let me know!
Was a great day. Tricky in the morning sessions, especially for those new to the circuit, but near perfect later. As ever, exemplary driving and courtesy - a real pleasure.

Red GT3RS is a mate of mine, said it was tricky in the morning being damp but had a cracking afternoon.
There were a few there for the first time too. It's nerve wracking to learn in the wet. IMHO the bit from Druids is tricky because of the trees (just make things that bit slippier) and the bumps and undulations.
Thankfully, as usual, driving was excellent and the only stoppages were a couple of mechanicals, with no serious offs and no wrecks or bends. Everyone went home happy boys & girls.

He sent me a pic of one of the cup cars being trailered back after losing one of it's rear wheels.
There were also a few RSs, GT3s and GT4s fitted with the Manthey track packages very ably supported by RPM who commandeered two garages. One of them was Tim Harvey's personal 991.2RS where he consistently ran 1' 45s even with ballast/passenger !!. He shot past me just before the finishing line at the end of the day at breakneck speed. Amazing experience to witness first hand how fast the best pro racing drivers are able to punt their cars compared to average Joes like myself.
The morning was extremely slippery more than just wet and the cars needed very steady inputs to keep on the black stuff. All in all extremely high standards of driving from some of the UK's best drivers.
Have to admit I still find Oulton intimidating to push my RS anywhere near my or the car's limits. I never have those feelings at Silverstone, Donny or Anglesey so I must be still suffering PTSD from the 2019 RS day which was my first ever proper track day.
Still really looking forward to next year's RS day and hopefully can get on one of the two PCGB Oulton track days where I'm on the reserve list. Anyone on here can't make either of those days please PM me.

Yes that did happen, seems like something got stuck between a lower arm and the wheel barrel, which caused some wheel damage. Car was brought to a halt safely and recovered. Could have gone back out but the owner decided not to. Race car built to take it, not a huge issue.

Was so good to see you buddy and hope T had fun with his pax laps. He got a good opportunity to see how different people do it.
As we discussed just more seat time required to get comfortable with the car, the circuit and build your own pace at your own rate and most of all, just have fun. No prizes to be had, just smiles.
Taff; really good online stuff to watch on Oulton. You need to filter out things that are not relevant to road cars, but just wathcing a few will help fit it together better in your mind. Scott Mansell on Driver61 is very good:

I was right behind the RS when it spun off and it was sitting on the grass when I passed it. This episode actually made me feel better as I realised I was doing the right thing all along. Oulton is a great track and much more technical than other tracks. It doesn't give advantage to high power cars and is very hard on brakes which makes it so much fun with old 911s. It really suits GT4s with its nice but not too much power and mid engine balance.
Your post explains exactly why I don't take risks at Oulton like I would at Donny and Silverstone for example. Best to leave one's ego at home on the RS day.

Yeah that was caused by a puncture. Mag rim too. Fooked.
Mega day that’s for sure. Oulton is so good! Great to meet a few of you and put some faces to names.
I made sure I wasn’t on track the same time as @TDT so not to show me up too bad

Was that the green 991.2 GT3 RS?
Because the 991 Cup car also suffered a complete rim failure, but earlier in the day.
Weird coincidence.

It was indeed the Green RS which had the Manthey pack if my son is correct. Mags are nice and light but don't take kindly to being exposed to some of the more aggressive Oulton kerbs. I avoided these for this very reason based on previous advice. Nobody got hurt which was the most important thing and both incidents didn't create problems for other cars behind them.

Oooof that GT2R! What is the noise limit at Oulton?
Was a 105dB day.
FWIW my car, a 997.1 GT3 with JCR titanium side-silencer by pass was 98dB static on 'normal' mode at 4,000rpm. I got the marshals to test it a second time with the 'sport' mode (valves open) and it was 102dB.

How did you persuade them to test at 4000 rpm?

Tidy lapping! the car sounds sweet.
I was thinking that out of shell hairpin up to the next chicane, it might be a little quicker holding 3nd gear and just down one into 2nd for the chicane, saving a couple of shifts and maybe time.

Thanks for the feedback.... always hoping to learn something.
I'll definitely try holding 3rd there, when I'm back in April. I think I shift into 4th as a bit of a comfort - but you're right -
it is a short shift on 3rd - just when i'm about to get into the power band - therefore leaving performance on the table and also the time of the extra shifts.

Many thanks @AdrianFRST for sharing those awesome pics, it was my first time at Oulton and boy it was fun. I was driving the Irish reg'd White 981 GT4, what a great day!!!
I went to Anglesea the following day and even though the it was sunny and dry throughout the session, I still prefer Oulton.

Remember chatting to you - your pit garage was next or next but one to mine. Good to meet you.
I think I was following you on one of the sessions - going well for your first trip.
The pleasure was mine, it was nice talking to you. A few mates and myself felt very welcomed by all of you guys. Loved the circuit and will definitively come back to it, I've heaps to improve.

Wow, seriously talented driving right there. You make it look very easy indeed, love the way you keep the gear changes flowing without rushing the action. Learnt a lot from that vid of yours man, subscribed! I have an on board DLSR as well but I need to work in the positioning, needs a few tweaks, yours is perfect.

As for camera set up, I’ve copied this set up, based on my Go Pro Hero 7 Black … it works perfectly.

115mph spin ? That would have ended very differently in a 911
There's a lot to be said for a lightweight car with less inertia when it starts spinning like top, not to mention the benefits of it not burying itself in the gravel trap once you've come to a halt. Was the spin initiated by a poor downshift, or too much rear brake bias ?

Neither, I got my foot stuck basically couldn't slow the car in time then when I get on the brakes and attempt to point the car at the corner the rear end was having none of it
Didn't really bother me, these things happen. It's character building.
