Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Recently purchased a 99 cab. with the top down, there are two holes left exposed which seem to need some plastic caps in them but are missing. what part are these? thanks

POST 2Original post

From the picture I'd say the hardtop latch covers. Did you get a hardtop with it? Look there, also look in the seatback pockets and the armrest glove box where the red handled hex wrench is.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

i did get the hardtop. i will check the seatbacks, never thought of that one...thanks

POST 7Original post

there are also other parts that should go with the hardtop itself (if they're missing, contact Andraya Hayward of Sunset Porsche Parts Consultant, [phone removed] * [phone removed]) P.S. *I have an extra hardtop cover and stand FS in case you need em. * front latch trim (plastic cover near the rear view mirror) * plastic covers for the rear mounts (#7 and 8 in pic below) * hole covers you are already locating (part #9 above, goes into 7 and 8 if hardtop is ON) * plastic protective plate for the holes (see pic below)
