Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

So I changed the plugs today in the Cayman and wouldn't you know, I am on the last plug, and while disconnecting the coil pack plug I snapped off the little black clip. I ended up just sliding the plug back into the coil pack, pulling the boot back down over the plug and secured the boot as hard as I could with a zip tie around the plug. Feels secure. Does anyone foresee any issues? Replacing the coil pack connection options?

POST 2Original post

If you feel it is making a good connection you should be fine. If you do want to fix it you have 2 real options. Find someone that is willing to cut you off that piece of the harness and splice in or go to the dealer and get the connector. If they say they can't get you one that is a complete lie. They have a "tackle box" full of every connector and wire end that porsche uses. You will need the proper wire removal tool but you can swap out the connector, that is the best way.

Jarett, Thanks for the response. It's great having people to help out when you make an 'ugh oh' on the DIY projects.

POST 4Original post

Everything can always be fixed. If you are not breaking something your not trying, prying, or hitting hard enough
