Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

carrera C4 For some reason i seem to have lost radio reception... I was playing around behind the rear view mirror. (dont ask) Now i cant get any radio reception at all, it was poor to start with, and i always intended to investigate, now i need to!!! so am i right in thinking that the thin black line up the centre of the screen is the antenna? if so, where is the connection for it?

POST 2Original post

You are correct and I believe that the connector is behind the trim on the right hand side of the windscreen, at least it was on mine.

POST 3Original post

Mine runs vertically down the centre of the windscreen.

POST 5Original post

The connection must be easy accessed because they would need to get it when replacing the front screen. I suspect what you looking for will be buried somewhere in these manuals - happy hunting http://www.cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok, so the black line is def the aerial... can anyone confirm the exact location of the connector so that i dont have to strip the whole interior out? I was fitting a car DVR at the time, and ran a power feed along the top of the windscreen and down the pllar. I know the voltage would not cause an issue, so i guess when i poked the cable in behind the trim i must have knocked the connector maybe??

POST 7Original post

In the RHS A Pillar at the bottom. This is the aerial amplifier, and it connects to the screen right at the bottom. If you look very closely, you can see the fine filament aerial going all the way around the screen.
