Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

I seem to recall this coming up before, so would be worth doing a search (not that I know what search criteria to use).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Easy questions for you fellas, but I've no idea what they are. First pic is the filler cap to thr right of the throttle body - what's the hydraulic fluid for? Power Steering? :dont know: Next one is a connector socket I found when I took off my air box - no sign of a plug to connect it to?? :?

POST 3Original post

The filler car is for the power sterring pump. Where was the connector? Left hand side of the engine bay? I seem to recall this coming up before, so would be worth doing a search (not that I know what search criteria to use). I have a feeling it is for the secondary air pump, which wasn't fitted to early RoW 996's. What model and year is yours?

POST 4Original post

Here you go: http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=46450&highlight=mystery+connector It's the recirculation pump connector. I guess yours is an early C2 (mechanical throttle).

POST 5Original post

and I was just about to say it is for the Flux capacitor [optional extra] TB

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Cheers TBrown, but wrong forum - DeLorean forum's down there on the left mate  Thanks for your help Richard - it is a '98 C2 so looks like you're correct again! Cheers
