Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry if posted elsewhere. Tried to start my 992 this evening and battery completely dead. I need to investigate why but right now i’m stuck at not being able to get to it. I’ve tried to jump the fuse to give enough power to pop the bonnet but that doesn’t seem to work. I’m trying to jump direct from another car (not sure if that makes a difference vs. jumping from another battery direct…can’t see why) Is there another manual way to pop the bonnet? Unfortunately I can’t use Porsche Assistance as I let the warranty lapse as my new GTS arrives next week. Will ask my OPC for help but if anyone has any suggestions i’m all ears

POST 3Original post

As above, once the leads are connected hold the bonnet release button on the key for 2 seconds.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok thanks guys. Did think I tried that but will give it another shot as I might have been too quick with the fob
