Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Where can I tie down a 996? It's a regular trailer with D rings. Don't want to use the tow ring that screws on the front bumper due to a myriad of horror stories that I've heard. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

That's actually in your owner's manual. Tie down with straps through the wheels. Or, some companies make a cargo type strap that goes over wheels (i.e. Brey-Krause) Loren (99 996)

POST 3Original post

I only trailer mine when my track car needs to be in my garage. I tie it down through the wheels with no problems... Roy

POST 4Original post

Autometrics in Charleston, SC sells all different kinds of tie down hooks that permanently attach to points on the bottom of Porsches. The link should show up in this message if I did it correctly. p-car.com main page
