I can't imagine actually making a switch - I'm totally in love with the "feel" of my c4 - but I'll probably take a test drive.

FYI: I saw the new maserati coupe at the NY auto show. It's very carrera like - with considerably larger rear seats and more horsepower. Its not quite as sexy or bold as the carrera - but looks and feels very sporty and luxurious. The price point is $80-$90 depending upon equipment - putting it head to head with a well equipped C2 or C4S. I can't imagine actually making a switch - I'm totally in love with the "feel" of my c4 - but I'll probably take a test drive.

I drove the cab and it easily smoked the '02 C2 and C4S in acceleration and braking. Great interior quality. Nice exhaust note too. However, it's a bit more expensive, new to the States, looks like a Nissan (more than the 996 ) except for the rear facade, and I can imagine having it in the shop for gremlins or work and waiting a looooong time for parts. So it can't be my daily driver.

These are the specs of the Maserati cpe: Top Speed 285 Km/h (177 mph) @ 7,550 rpm 0-100 km/h (62 mph) 4.9 s 0-400 m 13 sec 0-1 Km 25.5 sec These are the C4S specs. Top speed 280 kph/177 mph 0-100 kph 5.1 Don't have the braking specs just at hand. Check out the pics at <a href="http://www.maserati.it." target="_blank">www.maserati.it.</a> You all know what the C4S looks like. You choose. For me, the choice is obvious. I bought it.
