I would imagine that the paint on this car is in good enough shape that you could skip claying, and cleaning the paint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

29 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How long do you leave it on a black car for before buffing off?

POST 3Original post

Until it is dry and hazy. Then make sure you have some place to let the car sit for overnight that is below 85 degrees and out of the sun.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

you mean sit overnight in the garage after it has been buffed off or leave it on the entire night ?

POST 7Original post

Usually I would say 10-20 minutes, but I am sure SANDOVAL will have a better answer... he means sit overnight in the garage after it has been buffed...

POST 9Original post

Leave overnight in a dry place at a moderate temp.... No I think he is reffering to the curing process after you buff. I usually let it setup a good 20-30 minutes before buffing. The actual work takes me about 15-20 minutes to do a 996.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

ok - eric that is exactly what I did on the black TT - hopefully it wont rain tomorrw morning and i can take a pic for ya

POST 13Original post

Yes, I mean after you have buffed off the material, let it set overnight. once again, temperature below 85 and out of the direct sunlight are the best conditions for the curing. Just as a note Darren, the pre-Rejex prep is equally important. Especially for a dark paint, a non-wax polish such as a swirl-remover will go a long way to make the surface even smoother for a good deep reflection. I would imagine that the paint on this car is in good enough shape that you could skip claying, and cleaning the paint.

POST 14Original post

Very nice!! I have to ask you, you said there was a big difference between the S and the V6... is the difference between the S and the Turbo greater or smaller than between the S and the V6? I think you could have saved ALOT of money buying the Turbo a couple years back instead of the V6

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Last week I polished the car with klasse all in one then went over it with the klasse sealant - I washed the car today and it was a little rough on the rear bumper, behind the front wheels and under the Turbo scoops - clay took care of that - PS - Eric the rejex towels were incredible

POST 16Original post

Thanks man,LOL Well the V6 to S is Damn!! big difference, from S to Turbo Holy ****!!

POST 17Original post

I usually Rejex the ENTIRE Car, let sit for about 1hr, wipe off and then let the car sit overnight. Not bad results...
