Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Yesterday I cleaned my throttle body & MaF sensor . My car was no doing well on low rev's. There was some oil in the tube between the throttle body and the maf. My car was a lot better on the gas. But after some kilometers it became the same. Today I opened up the rest of the air intake. There was oil again on the TB and also in the tube again. There is some oil in there see the pictures. What can be wrong? Air Oil Separator? Something else? It’s not a lot of oil but it’s coming back. How can I replace this I am looking in to several topics but they are all for the 986 & 987.1 . NB my car is using some oil. 1 liter in 2000 km I think. But I heard this could be normal for a DFI engine. I have exactly the same noises as this car: Ticking noise videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mu7z4mjxBV4 Ticking noise starts about 7 seconds in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFG4fKTkXkE Ticking noise is there at the start of the video and maintains throughout the video Air whooshing noise videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89S5N5rCvDI Pressing the throttle lightly and you can hear the sound of air hissing out each time the accelerator pedal is pressed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwdya5qC384 Pressing the throttle hard and you can hear the sound of air hissing out each time the accelerator pedal is pressed I think the AOS is behind the driver side.

Here is a link that discusses crankcase venting to atmosphere but it has some useful info on 9A1 AOS . Good luck. https://********.com/forums/gt4/932192-0q-pure-white-journal.html
