Dear friends
I am having on going issue for almost one year now and I am loosing all my hopes .
Since one year ago after taking my car to the dealer and ever since my CS is having issues and behaving abnormally .
Under normal driving the car is smooth and shifts smoothly , however when under rapid acceleration the car Revs to the limiter but then shakes and jerks few times before changing to the next gear and the same story keeps going on .
I have taken the car to the dealer and they told me there is no fult shown !! According to the dealer that I should drive more often since I was not driving the car for so long but again that didn't solve the problem.
I sent both ECU and TCU to Germany to one of the reputable company and they told me all is ok !
Now I have been asked to ship the car to Germany which I don't want to do
Coz of the cost involved .
I don't know what the hell has happened to my car !!
No one seems to know what's happening to my car and what's the issue .
Any ideas suggestions will be a great help.
Did anyone experienced such issue !!
Brief about the car
Super charged for almost 7 years with no issues whatsoever till last service!
It's sad
You've supercharged your S? That certainly introduces some variables.
What did you have done at the last service? If problems surfaced immediately after, then there's a high likelihood that its related to something that was worked on or replaced. Can you post what services were performed?
it was supercharged almost 7 years ago with no issues at all. It was a normal carried out by the dealer !!oil filter change and all .
I dont want make light of your issues but LOL.... you supercharged your car and you are having issues with how the car runs?
Not saying adding a supercharger or turbo is bound create more issues, but there is a good chance... especially over time
to top it all off, you ECU is not even stock.. so what is Porsche dealer supposed to do for you?
when was the last gearbox oil change carried out? and were the engine mounts checked?
last service the gearbox oil was changed !! But engine mount I am not sure !!
I'll get it checked soon .
Thank you for your suggestions.
Appreciated it
Have you had the MAF cleaned?
And you don't specify, but it sounds like you have a Tiptronic trans, not a manual. Correct?
Are there any independent shops that could check for codes?
Unfortunately no !!no shops ! And yes the car is Tiptronic..sorry I should have specified that . I recall changing the MAF as part of trouble shooting !!
Before on a cold start the RPM was not steady at all and used to fluctuate a lot , so by replacing MAF that issue was solved but the current issue was still not solved .
Thank you for your input .
Really appreciated
If the supercharger was put in 7 years ago - It could have been causing a gradual buildup on the sensors for the intake tract. As said before - check and clean all of the sensors, then check for hoses that have cracked or popped off, sticking bypass valves or springs...
A few questions
Where are you located that you can't get to a decent mechanic?
Have you noted the engine RPM when the issue occurs?
Does it happen during the same RPM in each gear?
Have you gone under the car to look for the obvious mechanical failure, missing or loose parts, etc...?
You might consider buying a Durametric tool so you 'live' log your driving.
It almost seems like a loose plug, but you should get an error code, maybe not. The transmission mount seems like a possibility, again I'd want to get a look underneath the car. Good luck
